Should have posted this one first, as this was the preparation. My daughter, Katie, helped last week with the ornaments. My den and dining room looked like a craft fair exploded in them. On Friday, my sister-in-law, Kathy Dupree, and my neice, Erin Sluder, came 150 miles just to help me with tagging everything. What a chore---and a mess. Oh well, things have to get messy before being beautiful sometimes. Also thanks to my husband, Barry, for his muscle power in helping to set up the display and take it down. I could not have done this show without all of these wonderful family members!! This was my first show since leaving my job back in May this year, so this was a re-learning experience for me. Next one should be a smoother transition.

Christmas Bazaar Pictures
The St. Peter's Christmas Bazaar was fun. Met a lot of new folks, met other vendors and basically had a good time. It's great to know that other people like your work enough to buy it on the spot---also got some custom orders to boot. Wish it could have been a 2-day show, but not bad for one day. My daughter, Katie, was my wonderful assistant at the show and her input was invaluable in decorating. Hopefully, at my next show she and my other daughter, Meri, will have work to sell as well. They are both so talented! Here are some of our booth pictures. Hope you enjoy them! I will be putting some of my Christmas things on Etsy. Be sure to visit my shop there!!

Christmas Bazaar Time!
Well, the Christmas Bazaar is tomorrow and I'm still pricing items at this late hour. Other than that, I'm ready I think. Along with all the items left on my Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/acornhillhome), these newer items will be making their appearance at the Bazaar and hopefully I come back with very little. What is left will go on the Etsy shop site next week. As always, I can do custom orders in time for Christmas (acornhillhome@gmail.com). Ornaments, paper wreaths, paper pulp ornaments, wood ornaments, wool ornaments, homemade clay ornaments, stockings, table top trees made from paper & pinecones, Pride & Prejudice set of cones, wine gift bags---just too much to list it all and I did not get photos of everything! Looking forward to a good day at St.Peter's Christmas Bazaar in Hoover. Come on out, starting at 9:00 am, Nov. 24 - St. Peter's Catholic Church on Patton Chapel Rd.

Glorious Fall!!
I loooove this time of year. Cool mornings, warm sunny days, and cool nights--sometimes cool enough for a fire. The leaves are gorgeous this year but fall too quickly! I know I haven't posted in awhile, been busy making Christmas things and collecting nuts and pinecones. As promised, I used the book pages from the book purses. They made wall décor, pumpkins, trees and flowers, as well as wonderful paper pulp for ornaments. Still got work to do on the ornaments. Probably not going to sell this online as some of the wall décor, etc. that are made with vintage pages are too fragile. May sell locally at shows. I just love them though. They were fun to make. I especially love the cross made from music paper. Gotta get to bed now and rest for another full fall day tomorrow.
